Stomp the Yard and Night at the Museum

Hello Readers,

Stomp the Yard was good. It needed more practices though and less story. The thing with the dance movies is that we need no story and more moves. It was however a testament to black history and the people who fought for human rights. I know MLK's birthday is this weekend, and this movie honored him quite well.

Night at the Museum was one of my most favorite kid's movies. I like the whole idea of the creatures coming to life. I have a thing about that. Things coming alive and time travel...

Well golden globes are coming. prelude to the oscar's. That's all for now... This is silverplatters signing off...

Movies and movies

Hello readers,

This is a review of The Children of Men and Freedom Writers. The Children of men was based on a sci fi book where the people could no longer have babies. It doesn't really go into the why this occured, and now there is a woman who is pregnant who can bring peace, but that is never resolved either. A lot of loose ends makes this movie a C. I reall wanted to see more of Julianne Moore's character, she really is only in 15 minuted of the entire movie. Rent it or wait for HBO.
Freedom Writers was excellent. First of all, it takes place in Long Beach, CA. Second, the teacher is from Orange County. So immediately, I relate to this on a plethora of levels. It's a basic story about being a stand and believing in people. The teacher Erin, knew what was important and bonded with these students. It was a great heart warming film. I give it a B+.

I am taking a side direction here for a moment, I saw in this film, freedom writers how a relationship can go downhill if not nurtured. I just really found that without the same core values, marriages end.

Just a note...
